"Blue" graces the cover of Dr Richard M.Berlin's best poetry book of 2011
www.richardmberlin.com/ I was honored to have my photograph, "BLUE "chosen as the cover for this , his most prestigious book. In November, the USA Book News 2011 Awards chose Secret Wounds as the best poetry book of the year!

CHILDHOOD OBESITY
Dr Glenn Losack MD, physician, photographer, composer and world traveller is the author of " Bearly Fit" a childrens book which contains not only Dr Losack's photography but his message to all families in the modern era to pay close and serious attention to an epidemic known as "childhood obesity" which affects 1/5 American 4-5 year olds. Obesity basically means the chlilds weight falls in the 95th percentile.

One out of three children are overweight in this nation. This affects the native indian, hispanic and afro american population communities moreso than other racial groups.

Screening for this should begin at age 2 according to researchers. Obesity can lead to serious medical and psychological issues.

Interesting to note that this generations children will not have a longer lifespan than their parents. This due to poor eating habits and lack of exercise. DONT FORGET " BEARLY FIT" BEARLY FIT
